Meet our farmers

At the heart of every cup

Meet our farmers. Discover their stories.

A farmer, a family, a place. Our own farming roots shape how we select coffee and share the stories behind it. Current offerings change with the harvest; each product page identifies the coffee available now.

Lempira, Honduras

The Sánchez family roots

Our family coffee farm in Honduras is the foundation of Equal Roots. Four generations of farming knowledge guide how we select each harvest, inspect the beans, and protect their quality.

We also source Honduran coffee from other farms depending on seasonality and availability. Our current lot details are listed with each coffee.

Papua New Guinea

Coffee, carried by community

Our farmer stories have included Kosep and the smallholder tradition of Papua New Guinea. The care of farming families, the terrain, and the work of moving a harvest are part of the coffee's story.

Our current Simbai coffee comes from highland farming families who deliver their harvests by foot to rural airstrips. Follow the current product for its origin and tasting notes.

Generations in the highlands

Smallholder farmers in the Guatemalan highlands bring generations of knowledge to growing and preparing coffee. The region's elevations and growing conditions help shape the character in the cup.
